6 Steps to fielding a ground ball

1) Good Athletic position ..as the pitcher delivers the ball.. step right/left to ready position
2) Route and angle to the baseball...stay to the right of the baseball
3) Footwork to field the baseball...left/right/left...present your glove to the baseball
4) Field the baseball...field out front; form a triangle on the ground with your feet apart and your glove out front at the apex of the triangle; keep your butt down with your chest to your thighs; funnel the baseball from the ground to your bellybutton
5) Transition into the throw...bring the ball up to your chest; crowhop or shuffle/shuffle pointing your glove side elbow to the base 
6) Make a good throw to the rightfield side of 1st base...use a 4 seam grip
