The Towel Drill for Pitchers
hi guys...even though we can't get together we can continue to work on some of our baseball skills.  please take 10-15 minutes each day to work on this.  Find an old towel at home and see Coach Tom House in the video below.

Remember what Coach Harry Muir taught us...

  • work on athletic stance
  • remain balanced (keep your upper body quiet)
    • use the multiple toe touch (front, behind, front, behind...and then begin your delivery)
  • avoid short arming the ball by making a large circle with the ball
  • lead with your front hip
  • stride (stay closed as long as you can)
  • stride length (as long as your personal distance from toes to shoulders)
  • eyes to the catcher to ensure that you hit your spot
  • finish with your throwing elbow on the outside of your front knee and your glove close to your armpit ready to protect yourself from a batted ball hit back at you

If you have questions you can connect directly with Coach Harry Muir at [email protected]
