Mite Girls, Girls Fastball, 2012 (Delaware / Komoka / Mt Brydges Minor Baseball)

The weekend of June 23-24 was a memorable one for the Mite Girls.  The Rivercats went undefeated in the mid-season tournament to bring home the championship!  The Cats worked hard agains three strong teams from South, Byron and Southwest.   The weekend was filled with lots of hits, great base running and pitching that was out of this world! The Mite Girls went home with the coveted championship t-shirts after stringing together their first 3 game winning streak of the year.

Well, it wasn't the result we wanted but it was our best game of the year tonight vs. Byron.  It was great to see our fielders working in the outfield behind some great pitchers who were throwing lots of strikes!  Rivercats were strong at the plate and we had lots and lots of baserunners....we'll work on cashing a few more of them in next time! Well done Rivercats!!

Wow Rivercats!  A fantastic effort and first win of the season at the home opener! The fans were treated to an exciting game tonight vs. North who showed that they are a strong team with some great pitching. Excellent pitching tonight by Emily, Jacky, Coral and Cassie.  Ashley scored 2 for the cats tonight while Sydney and Olivia both contributed with 1 each.  It was great to see some strong sticks at the plate with hits by Avery and Alyssa.  Kate had a super first game as a Rivercat showing some versatility in the field.  Leah, Julia and Regan were all on their game showing North that ...
