Novice Girls (Jackie), Girls Fastball, 2018 (Delaware / Komoka / Mt Brydges Minor Baseball)

Congratulations to the Novice Girls U14 team on their first win of their 2018 season against North#1. Quite a warm night for a softball game, but that didn't slow down these Rivercats as they took an early lead in the game and never looked back. North #1 pushed for a 5th inning in hopes to tie the game, bringing the game within 4 but the Rivercats held their own with aggressive plate protection, gutsy pitching, steady hitting, smart fielding and all the cheers to boot. Excellent team effort by all. Way to go girls!   

The Novice Girls took to their first official outdoor practice in Mount Brydges Wednesday night. Pitching is looking good this year, runners are crisp and there is a surge of great hustle in the field at every position. A HUGE shout out to all the parents who continue to help coaches rotate through skills and drills. Your support is the foundation in the success of these dedicated Rivercats. With you, this group of fine athletes will achieve their season's dream. Thank you!

DKMB U14 Novice Girls gladly hit the field, bats a swinging this weekend as spring training continued. They are looking sharp with a full roster of 14 athletes which includes 3 dedicated and spunky local Rookies and seasoned veteran players at every position. Coaches Jackie Field and Karen Watson couldn't be happier with the turn out of talented athletes. This year's Rivercats are looking strong. With full hearts and determination brewing, these girls have what it takes for a memorable season.
