Rookies Win Both in Playoffs
Submitted By Steve Rumford on Wednesday, September 3, 2014
What an exciting final tournament!  DKMB Rookie #3 won both of their games at their final tournament in Strathroy on Saturday, August 9, 2014.

As a recap,  they won their first game 13 - 12 vs Forest and won their second game 13 - 11 vs DKMB Rookie #1.  The team's hitting continued to be excellent, with every single player on the roster contributing with at least one hit (and some with many more hits) over these games.  Everyone contributed defensively as well, whether it be Tessa with a diving force play at third base, Owen on a heads-up tag at home plate, or numerous other great plays.

Despite some lost practices due to rainouts during the year, it was impressive to see how everyone developed their baseball skills and came together as a team (and met some new friends in the process!) over the season.  A big thank you goes out to the parents, coaches, umpires, and the DKMB association for the support, encouragement and efforts to have these players be a part of this exciting playoff tournament games to close off a great season.
