Larry Goetz Memorial and Game
Submitted By Steve Rumford on Tue 08 17, 21
On August 24, you're invited to a Memorial and Game to honour Larry Goetz, a backbone of the DKMB Association, who passed away suddenly this past month.

Between the former Delaware/Mount Brydges Baseball Program to the current DKMB, Larry was a part of bringing baseball and fastball to the youth of the area for the past 30 years. He has been crucial in developing the Association into what it is and had a passion for giving back to the community. His contribution to several infrastructure projects, including the upgrades to the Komoka Back Diamond, have been instrumental to the Association's success.

The Memorial and Game will be on Tuesday, August 24, and start at 7:00pm at the Komoka Back Diamond. The Memorial will honour Larry with stories and thoughts about who he was and his contributions to our community. The game, starting at 8:00pm, will be between the current 18U and 22U DKMB teams, including a number of players who had the honour of being coached by Larry.

Due to current COVID protocols, as stated by the Health Unit and Baseball Ontario, we require registration for the event. Please follow the link below to register. We note that all current protocols will be in place.

Let us come together as a strong DKMB to honour and celebrate the life of Larry Goetz, and his contributions to our Community.
