U11 Select Ingersoll Silver Medalists
The 2023 11U Select Team competed in the Ingersoll Ironbirds Rep tournament this weekend. The team ended up losing all three of their round robin games placing them 6th overall heading into the quarterfinals. In the quarters they faced third place finisher Tillsonburg where they came out on top upsetting them 13-9.
The Rivercats then faced the second seed Ingersoll where their strong pitching and defensive play led them to another 12-3 win.
In the gold medal game they went up against the hard hitting Listowel team but couldn’t pull out the win this time around.
Every player pitched this tournament and contributed to an outstanding showing at this rep level tournament. Their determination, perseverance and sportsmanship were the talk of the town and all should be commended for their gameplay this weekend.
