Just a quick update to let you know that the league has not yet
released the schedule. The meeting I
attended this week indicated the following items:
- The games will start the week of May 30.
- There are 8 teams in our rookie division: 4 DKMB, 3 Strathroy, and 1 Forest.
- We will play one home game and one away game against each team (14 games total).
- All 14 games (scheduled and rescheduled due to rain) will be played in a 10 week period - meaning that we will have weeks where we play multiple games.
- The playoff tournament will be the weekend of August 6 in Strathroy.
That is all the information I have at the moment. I am anxiously awaiting the schedule from the league and will pass it along as soon as I get it.
We will hold practices next week on Monday, May 16 at 6:00pm (Kilworth Park) and Thursday, May 19 at 6:00pm (Komoka Park). I am trying to see if another DKMB team will join our Thursday practice so that we can have an exhibition game.
