Ended with a Bang!
We had our first game of the season, and what a game it was! So much hard work was put in by all our players!
I am so proud of our team for playing so hard on their first game! I saw so many great things from the kids. Jacob had a great tag out at home plate. Their was a beautiful play at second base by the Belecky boys. Malaiki made some great throws in from outfield. Ethan did an outstanding job as catcher! EVERYONE did a great job hitting off the pitching machine for their first time during a game! We had a rough first 3 innings, but in our last inning, we went through 10 batters and bats were on fire!!!!
I think it was a great eye opener for what we are up against this year. As a team, we have no where else to go but up! So i look forward to our next game where we can only improve and have more fun!
Thank you RiverCats for being such a great team, and thank you to the parents that are helping out on the bench to get the kids ready for us. As a coach, we all found out how confusing and chaotic things can get in-between innings.
I will see you all out tonight and let's go out there and try our best!
