Back on Track!
The Rivercats are back! After a disappointing loss last week to a strong Ilderton team, the Mite Girls rebounded with an astounding victory over South.
The cats had strong offensive play tonight with homers from both Alyssa N & Patty. They weren't the only ones who sent the ball for a ride though - hit after hit, the girls showed South that when you come to Delaware you've got to bring your game! As the season starts to wind down, the Rivercats are just winding up with their pitching and defensive play. Tracelyn had her first appearance on the mound tonight and sat down 2 of the 3 batters she faced. An amazing catch on 3rd by Ashley kept South to 3 batters that inning.
Still undefeated at home in 2013, the Rivercats have one home game left this season. The cats are aiming for a strong finish to the season in preparation for the playoff tournament in mid-August.
