THE TORONTO BLUE JAYS BASEBALL ACADEMY IS COMING TO KOMOKA - SUNDAY, JULY 10TH

The DKMB (Delaware- Komoka-Mt. Brydges) Minor Baseball Association is proud to host The Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Academy and its Honda Instructional Clinic this Sunday, July 10th from 10am - 2pm in Komoka (rescheduled from Saturday, May 17th due to weather). Players between the ages of 8 to 14 will be learning the skills and fundamentals that will help them excel while playing their favorite summer sport.

Clinching the American League East Division in 2015, the Jays recorded their first since 1993. This was special for fans across the country, including in our area. What was even more special for DKMB was to be awarded with one of the Blue Jays-Honda Instructional Clinics taking place throughout Ontario this summer when there is a renewed interest in the game thanks to the Jays' success.

“We are proud to offer our young athletes the opportunity to learn skills and drills from the Toronto Blue Jays Academy,” said Marty Thody, President of DKMB Minor Baseball. “What a great opportunity for the kids to learn from such a successful organization.”

During the clinic, players will rotate through drills that will work on the fundamentals such as hitting, throwing, fielding, pitching, and base-running.

Included in each participant's $55 registration fee is a Blue Jays hat, T-shirt and baseball manual. More than 70 young players have already secured their spot.  If you have not yet registered your player for this great opportunity, you can still do so at http://toronto.bluejays.mlb.com/tor/baseball_academy/honda_instructional_clinics.jsp.

Due to nearby road construction, parents are asked to park at or near the Komoka Community Centre (133 Queen St.).  Registration tables will be set up nearby.
